Festival dates 2026

The 191st Oktoberfest runs from late September to early October 2026 (approximately 16 days). The exact dates are set by the city of Munich and usually span from the third Saturday in September to the first Sunday in October.

Beer tents

Weekdays: Tents typically open at 10:00 and close at 22:30 or 23:00. Last orders are usually 30 minutes before closing.

Weekends and public holidays: Opening is often at 09:00, with the same closing times. The first and last days of the festival are especially busy.

Rides and stalls

Amusement rides and food stalls generally follow similar hours. Some rides may open slightly later or close earlier. The Oide Wiesn (traditional area) has its own opening times; check the official site for details.

Tip

Arrive early at weekends if you want a table without a reservation. Tents can reach capacity by midday.
